No one in his family has a thing for mopeds, scooters or motorcycles, but since he was twelve years old, Davide Marelli was fascinated by them. Especially classic motorcycles from the 1950s and naturally the Vespa captured his attention. Therefore, it didn't take long before he started to collect them himself and along with it came selling mopeds. When he sold one, he bought two to take its place. By doing so he has been working with mopeds and scooters his entire life. Besides endlessly tinkering with mopeds, Davide Marelli also likes to take them for a ride, for example when he crossed Argentina on a mini scooter. This story was published in the British magazine 'Scootering'. Thanks to his great interest, Davide Marelli knows the Italian classic motorcycle market through and through with its accompanying traders and collectors. His network is his greatest asset, because Davide Marelli is a true people person. He gladly takes a bit more time to tell potential sellers about Catawiki, or to help them take the right photos or just to have a chat about their shared passion.
