Description from the seller

Fossil. An Abelisaurus dinosaur tooth.

Fossil: This very well-preserved tooth comes from a theropod belonging to the group of Abelisaurids, a group of carnivorous dinosaurs. They were characterized by their extremely small front limbs, short, deep faces, small sharp teeth, and strong, muscular hind legs.

This tooth comes from a yet undescribed Abelisaurian species from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco.

So far, only two Abelisaurian species have likely been found in Morocco's Kem Kem Beds. One Abelisaurian (Rugops primus) was named after the Echkar Formation in Niger.
Upper Chalk of the Cenomanian, approximately 100 million years ago.
This tooth has very sharp, fine notches on both edges.

Fossil length approximately 27 mm

Location: Kem-Kem Beds, Morocco

Fund comes from a collection liquidation.
