A 1930 Degué / David Guéron square blue pressed glass vessel-lamp in Art Deco style, 41 cm square with a total height of 30 cm, in excellent condition with rewired electrical.

"Degué"
A truly magnificent piece of art deco glasswork.
This magnificent pressed and molded glass basin features four holes. It has a square shape, which is rarer and more sought-after than round-shaped basins.
The beautiful drawings formed by the thick glass on this magnificent basin depict flowers and stars.
It is signed 'Degué' said 'David Guéron'.
The lamp mount is made of twisted silk threads in a gold color, which harmonizes well with the sky blue of the basin.
The electricity has been redone.

This very beautiful basin has four identical sides, each measuring 41 cm.
The height of the glass is 12 cm.
The total height with the rigging is 30 cm.
David Guéron (1892 - 1950) was of Turkish origin and Spanish nationality.
He was an industrial glass artist, founder and owner of the 'Verrerie d'Art Degué' manufacturing company, located on boulevard Malesherbes in Paris.
He first established 'Les Cristalleries de Compiègne' in the early 1920s, before specializing in luxury glassware.
He worked on boulevard Malesherbes in Paris, mainly creating art deco chandeliers and vases, using a wide range of colors.
Pieces signed 'Degué' are now highly sought after by enthusiasts of Art Nouveau and Art Deco glassware.
The Second World War ended the art glass business, and David Guéron left France in 1939 for the United States.
