Description from the seller

Set of 12 knife holders by Eugène Volynkine—often attributed to Sandoz—for the Gallia silverware line by Christofle.

This set of silvered metal animal-shaped candle holders is an icon of Art Deco created around 1930.

In animal form: dog, cat, fox, hare, peacock, swan, dove, duck, bear, lion, pig, and fish are all depicted in a pure and cubist style that aligns well with the era.
Good used condition, with no gold loss, showing minor signs of wear with micro scratches. The peacock is missing a feather, which does not affect its stability. See detailed photos.
Measuring more or less 9cm each; they all bear the brand 'O.Gallia' plus the hallmark of Christofle Silverware (knight in chess and O.C.).
