Description from the seller
This is a vintage electric stove produced by the Italian company Fratelli Onofri, likely dating from the 1950s or 1960s. Fratelli Onofri was founded in Northern Italy, near Brescia, by brothers Giovanni and Goffredo Onofri in the 1950s or 1960s. The company quickly became known for its high-quality appliances, initially focusing on gas stoves.
The company produced a variety of household appliances, including water heaters and electric stoves like the one shown, especially during Italy's post-war economic boom years. The design of this model, often glazed in pastel colors like aquamarine, is characteristic of modernism and industrial design of the 1950s.
Features: These portable stoves were equipped with exposed electric resistances protected by a grille, capable of providing almost instantaneous radiant heat. They often featured a robust design with an enamelled metal casing and chrome details, such as the adjustable handle visible in the image.
In the 1970s and 1980s, the company expanded into the cooktop and built-in oven sector, becoming a well-established international brand before facing difficulties and subsequent ownership changes.
This object represents a piece of Italian industrial design history, a functional and aesthetically pleasing example of the household appliances of the era.
The photos are an integral part of the description. Tested and functioning of two out of three elements without an electrical cable.
Shipping costs include careful packaging and tracking, ensuring fast delivery times.
