Description from the seller
Beautiful space age table lamp, "Eyeball" model, produced in the 70s by Reggiani Illuminazione and designed by Luigi Argenta.
Made entirely of orange lacquered steel with a crackle-finished black metal collar and nickel-plated brass cable gland. The beautiful orange color, typical of the 1970s and the Space Age era, is a real treat.
An interesting feature is the magnetic connection between the base and the projector, which allows the latter to rotate freely to any position.
Among the photos you can find an old Reggiani advertisement where you can see this model and where you can read the name of the designer.
Aesthetically preserved in very good vintage condition, it shows slight signs of wear and a halo on the back of the sphere due to the loss of paint, caused by rubbing on the magnet, as can be seen in the photos.
The electrical system has been replaced and overhauled, and is in perfect working order. A beautiful fabric-covered cable has been installed. It uses a large E27 bulb, not included in the auction.
Dimensions: 24 x 14 x 14 cm.
