Heinz Kilfitt Makro-Kilar D 2.8/40mm macro lens for Exakta mount, serial number 245–6106, in very good physical condition and tested and working, with infinity to 5 cm focus and 3.5x macro magnification.
Description from the seller
Offered is a rare Kilfitt Macro-Kilar 2.8/40 mm lens (type D). Focusing from infinity to 5 cm (!). Suitable for Exacta camera mounts. With an adapted step-up ring, it can also be used digitally (but not included).
Serial number: 245 – 6106.
This lens can be used as a 'normal' (light wide-angle) lens, but can be adjusted for macro shots up to 5 cm without additional accessories. This results in a magnification factor of 3.5 (an object of 1 cm becomes 3.5 cm on the negative).
The objective is a 4-element Tessar design. The lens dates from the late 1950s and was designed by Heinz Kilfitt. The quality is high.
The front lens element is deeply embedded, with the front serving as a sunshade.
The lens offered is in good condition and operational. The glass parts are clear, with no haze; there is some dust inclusion and a few smudges, but these do not affect image quality. The diaphragm functions as it should. The focus adjustment operates smoothly. Tested on an Exacta Varex camera (but without film), and it works as expected.
The camera in some photos does NOT belong to the delivery.
No front or end caps are included. However, it is shipped well-packaged.
Photos are part of the description. Dimensions:
Maximum diameter = 62 mm
Length (setting infinite) = 50 mm
Length (setting 5 cm) = 83 mm
Weight: 172 grams.
