Original notarial deed manuscript dated 16 May 1706, in French, on laid paper with brown ink, 24 x 17 cm (unfolded 24 x 34 cm), two pages, attributed to royal notary Mottin of Vallières, Indre-et-Loire.
Description from the seller
Original notarial act – Sale / obligation – Vallères (Indre-et-Loire) – May 16, 1706 – Royal Notary Mottin – Manuscript of Louis XIV.
It is unquestionably an original handwritten notarized act, written on laid paper, with old administrative folding.
Main act (continuous legal text)
Dorsal mentions (summary, names, date).
Signature(s) and initial(s) of the notary.
Probably a seal imprint in ink or a wax trace under paper, very common in Normandy at that time.
It is not a copy, nor a vidimus, but indeed an original of minute or of grosse.
The date is perfectly readable, May 16, 1706.
Coherent with the writing style (late 17th – early 18th century).
The legal formula, the type of paper, the notary's handwriting style.
Beginning of Louis XIV's reign – a very sought-after period.
The text clearly mentions Vallères Mottin, royal notary COISLIER, merchant in Vallères, Indre-et-Loire (37) – Touraine.
Deed executed before a royal notary, in a clearly identified local jurisdiction.
It is a deed of sale with deferred payment obligation, typical of the early 18th century.
Recoveries, an amount owed, a payment deadline, a general mortgage clause, commitment on movable and immovable property, waiver of benefits of division clause, discussion, etc.
Legally dense text, highly representative of provincial notarial practice. Historical and material interest, very beautiful notarial cursive handwriting, classical abbreviations.
Good readability for a document from 1706.
Identified names (exploitable genealogy).
Precise localization, exact date, complete act (front and back).
24cm x 17cm Folded, 24cm x 34cm Unfolded.
Authentically old paper, irregular edges, folds, minor normal wear.
No major gaps, the text is fully readable.
Very good condition for a document from 1706.
Antique laid paper, ferro-gallic ink.
Legal form, Notary identified, Clear internal dating.
Very rare. The photos are an integral part of the description.
