Brushed/used case, in very good condition.
This historical reproduction brings to life one of the most charming divination games of the 18th century — The Little Oracle of Ladies, originally attributed to the famous French cartomancer Alliette (known as Etteilla).
Appearing around 1807, this oracle was conceived as a moral and symbolic game for ladies, blending Enlightenment philosophy and primitive cartomancy.
Each of the 42 cards features classic allegories, virtues, and human conditions, sometimes with double images (for a total of 52 illustrations). It faithfully reproduces the engravings, colors, and French titles from the 18th century, making it a valuable historical oracle for collectors of antique cartomancy and tarot decks related to Etteilla.
The cards are 103 mm / 69 mm.
