This fossil has been restored through sandblasting. Two fish, one large and one small. 100% authentic.

The fossil of the Asian Lepidotus from Xingyi was first discovered in 1957 in the village of Lvyin, Dingxiao city, Xingyi. Previously, it was generally classified within the order Hypogynopterygians, but recent research has classified it within the order Hemigynopterygians. It was the most abundant and largest herring-like fish of the Middle Triassic in the Upper Yangtze region.
