Rum Nation Rare Rum Diamond Whiskey Finish Guyana is a limited edition rum from the iconic Diamond Distillery in Guyana. This distillery, the only one in the country, is known for its historic stills and rich rum-making tradition.
This rum is distilled in a pot still, which gives it a deep and complex character. After initial maturation in the tropical climate of Guyana, the rum was transported to Europe, where it underwent further maturation in whiskey barrels. This process gives the rum interesting layers of flavor and aromatic nuances.
Aroma: Rich notes of caramel, dark fruit, molasses and woody notes with traces of smoky notes from the whiskey barrels.
Taste: Full and velvety, with a combination of tropical fruit, vanilla, spices and light smoky accents. The whiskey finish adds subtle notes of oak and dried fruit.
Finish: Long and balanced, with sweet notes and a soft spicy finish.
Distillation – The rum is distilled in iconic wooden column or pot stills (depending on the batch), giving it a unique character.
First Maturation – It is matured in the tropical conditions of Guyana in ex-bourbon barrels, which accelerates its development and enriches it with vanilla and caramel notes.
Second Maturation (Whisky Finish) – After being transported to Europe, the rum is stored in ex-scotch barrels, where it acquires a more complex flavor profile, subtle smoky notes and a deeper woody character.
