Beautifully crafted pickaxe made from the local firestone of Orp-le-Grand. Typical of the Middle Neolithic Michelsberg culture. These tools were used, among other things, for digging into the chalk layers where flint nodules, an important raw material during the Neolithic, were found.
In good condition and no restorations.
Dimensions 142 x 52 mm
An authenticity certificate is provided with each lot sold.
