A large, finely worked Mousterian Levallois flint spear point or scraper, circa 40,000–150,000 BP, in excellent condition and measuring 104 × 52 mm, sourced from a private collection and originating from the Western Sahara, with an authenticity certificate included.
Description from the seller
Quite large and finely worked spear point, well balanced. It could have served as a spearhead or scraper. This spear point was made using the Levallois technique, a revolutionary method where a core was carefully prepared, allowing a perfect flake (with a characteristic triangular shape) to be struck off. The core (nucleus) was not used further.
Originating from Western Sahara.
Dimensions 104 x 52 mm
In perfect condition, no restorations.
An authenticity certificate is provided with each sold lot.
