Beautiful large bloodsucker jar from the 18th or early 19th century, made of mouth-blown glass. Médicis shape, with a large rounded convex base, a thick cylindrical foot, slightly constricted at the center, a large globe-shaped vessel, and an opening with a rolled rim. It is a curiosity item, historically used to 'store' bloodsuckers for medical use.

Total height approximately 24cm, with a maximum diameter of about 19cm. Good condition considering its age, with a small chip on the rim, quite discreet, some calcium deposits mainly on the rim, fairly visible, but mostly numerous scratches inside the jar, superficial but visible through the transparency, dulling the glass, with some deeper, more visible scratches on the outside. A few large bubbles of origin. Approximately 1.5kg.
