Keichousaurus hui, a beautifully preserved specimen from the Middle Triassic of Guizhou, China, professionally conserved on a solid plate (11.2 cm × 7 cm, 0.8 cm thick) with a 9.9 cm Keichousaurus and total weight 154 g, in natural condition.
Description from the seller
Keichousauris Hui
Middle Triassic (245 million years ago)
Mudstone and silts from Guizhou, China.
Handcrafted
Like all dinosaurs, Keichousaurus belonged to the reptile family. Due to its heavy bone structure, scientists believe that these reptiles were on the verge of making the evolutionary leap from sea to land. These reptiles were killed as a result of a volcanic eruption approximately 245 million years ago. When the volcanic ash dried, cracks formed. These cracks were filled with water, which created the calcite veins often visible in the rock. Often, the stone slabs break along these veins. This specimen also experienced this, as it was broken in two places and professionally reassembled.
Description:
Stunning rare beautifully prepared keichousaurus with many details. The matrix measures 11.2 cm x 7 cm and is 0.8 cm thick. Keichousaurus size is 9.9 cm. Solid, sturdy plate. Beautiful decorative fossil.
Shipment is sent with tracking and insurance.
With information card and certificate of authenticity.
