Description from the seller
La Mansion du Whisky Edition
Bottle Jamaica 2012 from BARGE 166 - Jamaican Clarendon is very limited edition, as it comes from a 30L barrel for the 50cl-55.1.% per bottle format, only 60 bottles in total! This Plantation Rum matured on the Barge 166, the very first floating cellar in the world, located on the Seine River in France. It first underwent tropical maturation in a Bourbon barrel, followed by continental maturation in a Ferrand OAK barrel in the Charente region. Finally, the final maturation on the Barge 166 in a new oak barrel, where the barrels for maturation were selected directly by Alexandre Gabriel from Maison Ferrand.
The rum was distilled in 2012 in Clarendon. It was tropically matured for 4 years in a bourbon barrel in Barbados. It rested for another 8 years in the Ferrand cellars in a 200l French oak barrel. The final stage was a 15 month maturation in a new 30l oak barrel in the Barge's lower deck. The result is a unique edition, of which only 60 bottles were bottled. Plantation Barge 166 Jamaica 55.1% stands out with its long, complex and persistent taste. Get a treasure that deserves a special place in your collection.
