Description from the seller
Zorkiy 3M+ Jupiter-8 2/5cm (red P) + leather case + light meter
Waited and tested fully functional
The lenses are free of scratches; the inside looks clean.
The focusing operates smoothly and without issues.
The Zorki-3M introduced in 1954 was an improved version of the Zorki-3. This is an early example of a Soviet version of a Leica screw camera with components of the Leica M series.
The 1951-designed Zorki-3 was a real breakthrough for Soviet Leica production. It is slightly larger than the Zorki but features many new functions that the Zorki/FED lack—bright, large, combined RF/VF, removable back cover, viewfinder diopter adjustment, a set of slow lenses, and high-quality fast lenses—Jupiter—8. The body and the bottom cover are both made of solid cast metal. The camera also features a nice folding foot, similar to Contax cameras. The 39mm Leica screw mount remains intact, so the Zorki-3, like all Zorki rangefinders, is fully compatible with LTM lenses. The delay mechanism is clearly borrowed from the Leica IIIf, with the actual delay mechanism located at the bottom of the camera and connected to the shutter control via a long lever. The shutter has two adjustment dials—one on top of the camera for quick shots and another at the bottom, connected to the shutter control via a long lever. This device was tested in service and functions flawlessly at shutter speeds from B to 1000. Both the Jupiter 8 and Jupiter 11 lenses are in excellent condition. No scratches or mold spots. Less dust accumulates, and the focus is smooth and stable.
