AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The Memphis armchair 'Eastside' is a design from 1983 by Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass (1917 - 2007). Sottsass initiated the Memphis design group in 1981. The most well-known members of the Memphis group included Michele de Lucchi, Martine Bedin, and Matteo Thun. Memphis created numerous imaginative designs as a reaction against the high-tech design of the 1970s. These often combined geometric basic shapes such as cones, spheres, or cubes, with geometric plastic laminates and bold colors.

This 'Eastside' armchair was manufactured in the 1990s by the company Knoll and is considered a classic of Postmodern design. Made of metal, painted in silver. Upholstery in black and brown leather. Manufacturer's designation on the underside. Impeccable condition, with charming signs of use on the leather. Overall, the armchair is in excellent condition, has no defects or odors, and is firmly upholstered. The leather is of the finest quality.
