■Description

The MICRO ACE N-Gauge “DD51-866 (Air-Conditioned Cab)” (A8520) models locomotive No. 866 of the iconic JNR DD51 diesel class, featuring a cab modified with air-conditioning equipment. The DD51 class served as a mainline diesel locomotive on non-electrified routes, hauling both passenger and freight trains across Japan.

This model accurately reproduces the exterior changes associated with the air-conditioning modification, along with the powerful body profile and detailed bogies. It is well suited for recreating late JNR to early JR-era freight and passenger train formations, and pairs effectively with vintage coaches, 12 Series, 50 Series, and various freight wagons.
