■Description

The KATO N-Gauge “C55” (2011) models the JNR C55 class, a steam locomotive designed for passenger services. Developed as an evolution of the C51 class, the C55 featured large driving wheels and a sleek profile, enabling reliable performance on express and local passenger trains across Japan.

This model faithfully reproduces the locomotive’s balanced proportions, including the large driving wheels, boiler and cab detailing, and tender structure. It is well suited for pairing with vintage passenger coaches and recreating prewar and postwar JNR-era passenger train formations.
