■Description

The KATO N-Gauge “E6 Series Akita Shinkansen ‘Super Komachi’ 3-Car Basic Set” (10-857) reproduces the E6 series, introduced as the next-generation trainset for the Akita Shinkansen, replacing the E3 series. The E6 series operates at speeds of up to 320 km/h on the Tohoku Shinkansen and is well known for coupled operation with the E5 “Hayabusa.” The pre-production units were branded as “Super Komachi.”

This model accurately captures the sharp long-nose front design, distinctive red-based livery, side logos, and window arrangement. Equipped with working headlights and tail lights, it can be expanded with additional sets to recreate full-length train formations, making it an essential item for modern Shinkansen layouts.
