■Description

The TOMIX N-Gauge “JR 485 Series Limited Express Train Basic 4-Car Set” (92081) reproduces the iconic 485 series AC/DC limited express EMUs that operated nationwide from the JNR era through the early JR period. Designed for operation in cold and snowy regions, the 485 series was widely used on famous limited express services such as Raichō, Hakuchō, Hitachi, and Yamabiko, making it one of the most representative Japanese limited express train types.

This basic set consists of four cars including cab cars, accurately modeling the powerful front-end design, roof equipment, and side window layout characteristic of the 485 series. When combined with add-on sets, longer and more realistic train formations can be created, making this an ideal base set for recreating classic JNR and early JR-era limited express scenes.
