Description from the seller
Magnificent cut crystal ensemble from the prestigious Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint Lambert, originating from the historic line 'Service Moulé Valambert et Cristal', designed by renowned designers Charles Graffart and René Delvenne. This modular model appears in the legendary 1913 catalog, alongside iconic series such as 'Hambourg' and 'Diamants-Pierreries'.
Made up of four elements in thick, heavy crystal, with a refined geometric pattern featuring diamond-shaped facets that generate exceptional brilliance and captivating reflections.
- 2 arc elements (curved half-moons), to form the ends or curves of a river of a table.
Two small candle holders, ideal for thin candles and an elegant lighting ambiance.
These pieces come together to create a sinuous and sophisticated centerpiece, or can be used independently as decorative objects. One of the candle holders still bears its original label intact, 'Val Saint Lambert Belgique' (visible in the photos), a valuable detail that enhances the authenticity and direct provenance from the manufacturer.
Approximate dimensions
- Small candle holders: 45 × 45 × 50 mm (approximately 200 g each)
- Arc elements: 180 × 55 mm (approximately 600 g each)
Exceptional condition for century-old pieces: crystal of perfect clarity, intact brilliance, without significant chips or scratches. Only a few micro traces of use, barely visible, remind us of their age and authentic history.
A rare and documented piece, symbolizing Belgian artisanal excellence from the early 20th century, at the transition between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Ideal for collectors of antique crystal or enthusiasts of refined and historic decor.
These pieces (like all Valambert elements) are not signed but are documented in period catalogs.
The set will be shipped with the utmost care, in reinforced professional packaging that is insured.
