Description from the seller
Germany. Prussia. Berlin. 2 Mark. 1901. William II (1888–1918).
Value: 2 Mark
Year: 1901.
- Inscriptions: FRIEDRICH I. 1701 with superimposed busts of Frederick I and William II and a commemorative legend for the bicentennial; on the reverse, DEUTSCHES REICH 1901 with the imperial eagle and the value 2 MARK.
- Grade: MS63 (NGC).
Prussian commemorative coin issued to celebrate the bicentennial of the proclamation of the Kingdom of Prussia (1701–1901). The obverse features a powerful double portrait, with Frederick I — the first king of Prussia — and Emperor Wilhelm II, symbolizing dynastic continuity and the power of the Prussian state within the German Empire. The reverse displays the German imperial eagle with crown and central shield, finely detailed and with a strong heraldic presence. The specimen retains its original shine with attractive uniform patina, well-defined reliefs, and slight contact marks consistent with a MS63 grade, making it a highly representative and sought-after piece among early 20th-century German imperial commemoratives.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make it absolutely clear that I ship from Spain. This means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs, and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and is completely out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
