Description from the seller
Table lamp by the renowned brand Fase, model Falux in chrome color. Designed by Industrias Fase (Luis Pérez De La Oliva and Pedro García Martín).
The lamp was introduced in 1970 at the 'X International Office Furniture Show in Madrid' and began to be marketed from 1972. It is one of the few FASE pieces featuring the arm of three chrome rods that highlights this original piece.
It was manufactured in the colors: black, gold, gray, and Corinthian. However, FASE replaced the paint with chrome models for high-ranking officials in the Public Administration.
Chromed metal structure with an adjustable shade via a ball joint. All components are original: paint, chrome finishes, glass diffuser, ... The switch at the base does not work; instead, there is one on the cable for turning it on and off. Two E27 bulb holders. Dimensions: 45 cm in height, shade 29 cm x 27 cm. The lamp has been adjusted and inspected by a professional electrician.
It is a magnificent piece due to its excellent condition and, additionally, it has all its original components: paint, wood, chrome... It is a vintage item and, therefore, shows signs of use typical of its age, such as small marks on the back of the wood and a mark on the lower part of the screen. The original glass diffuser is in perfect condition: free of 'hairs,' scratches, and retains its transparency. After more than 50 years, it is very rare to find a Fase lamp of this color in such condition and functioning correctly.
La Fase Falux is an icon of Spanish industrial design from the 70s, possibly the most outstanding design of all, inspired by the F1 cars of that era, and has been part of the set decoration in various international films: High-Rise (2015), Into the Labyrinth (2019).
