Art Nouveau glass bottle with a silver‑plated metal mount in green translucent enamelled glass, attributed to Aimé Jean Duret (AJD), circa 1900–1910; 25 cm high, 9 cm wide, 6 cm deep, 600 g.
Description from the seller
Art Nouveau glass flask with floral decoration – Silver-plated metal mount – AJD Aimé Jean Duret – Circa 1900
Elegant decorative glass bottle or flask in translucent green glass, richly hand-enamelled with a stylized floral decor depicting a blooming flower and sinuous foliage, in polychrome tones (green, brown, orange, white).
The decor, with flowing, natural lines, aligns with the Art Nouveau aesthetic of the late 19th to early 20th century.
The piece is topped with a silver-colored metal mount, featuring a slender collar and a matching cap.
The mount is decorated with engraved friezes and bears a hallmark 'AJD', attributed to Aimé Jean Duret, a French goldsmith active in Paris at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Good overall condition for its age
Visible wear on the frame, either silver-plated or silver-colored brass (patina, scratches, occasional oxidation), consistent with age; see photos.
Minor signs of use on the glass (small traces of an old liquid inside), and the enamel is in good condition with fresh drips, without cracks or chips.
Presence of a number under the bottle: N 51
Cap present and consistent.
A refined decorative object, typical of French Art Nouveau production, combining the work of enameled glass and goldsmithing.
An ideal collectible piece for enthusiasts of artistic glassware, French goldsmithing, or decorative bottles from around 1900.
