Description from the seller
Buddha head in schist, from the ancient Gandhara region.
His serene face is delicately shaped. His deep eyelids are topped with arched eyebrows. His lips form a slight smile. His wavy hair is crowned with the ushnisha.
Perfectly shaped mouth. The earlobes are elongated.
Greco-Buddhist art, 1st / 3rd century AD
Mounted on an elegant metal base.
Dimensions: height 14.7 cm (height 22.2 cm with the base) - width 9.1 cm - weight 1.9 kg.
Excellent state of preservation.
