Old long sword / bladed sword of the Malinke / Maninka from Africa of the *Tuareg* tribe, featuring elaborate animal hide decoration and embossing, with a blade that has a groove, slightly curved blade shape forged in iron—see pictures. They are part of the auction. The handle and scabbard are woven with animal leather and decorated with embossings. Overall length approximately 87 cm. Used condition, good for its age, signs of age and wear are present. The thick blade is sharpened and has been used. The blade is finely worked in iron, weighing approximately 1500 grams in total. Included is a matching woven interior helmet with an elaborate outer decoration in animal leather, in good condition. Size approximately 31x31x27 cm plus chin strap leather. A magnificent lot.
