The NS-loc series 1700 is a series of electric locomotives that have been in operation since early 1992 by the Dutch Railways for passenger trains. The locomotives with B'B' axle configuration are based on the French railway type BB 7200 (SNCF) and are a modified version of the NS series 1600.
The locomotives are used in Intercity trains to Berlin and were previously employed for pulling and pushing DD-AR, DDM train sets, and for hauled passenger trains with ICRm.
