Description from the seller
→ 94 grams
→10.8 cm long
→3.5 cm at widest point
It is a thick profile teeth of the iconic Spinosaurus. The teeth has a deep dark color at the tip which slowly transitions into dark brownish and then towards light brownish tone. In addition, the presence of meat like red-pinkish color have imparted very cool looks to the teeth and this is probably attributed to iron during the fossilization process spanning almost 95 Millions years in the Upper Cretaceous period. This fossil is a wonderful representative of the complex fossilization process itself as one can cleary see the presence of minerals, sand etc alongth the whole body especially towards the root region of the teeth.
Its quite hard to tell which teeth is teeth. We think its the maxillary teeth toward the front with more curvature.
Since Spinosaurus teeth are found in hard ground, so retrieval is challenging. In this teeth, the top of teeth have been professionally rebounded and the teeth have been conserved to make it long lasting with overall restoration and conservation being done in a superb manner.
It gives a good feeling to hold this big teeth reminding of enormous Spinosaurus.
