Description from the seller

Elegant pair of allegorical female figures in white porcelain with rich gilding, created by the Capodimonte Ginori manufactory, representing the meeting between the Neapolitan figurative tradition of Capodimonte and Ginori's 20th-century artistic production.

The two figures, conceived as pendant speculari, depict young women in a dynamic pose, wrapped in flowing golden garments stirred by the wind, with arms raised to support fluttering ribbons, creating a strong sense of movement, theatricality, and elegance.

The modeling is accurate and fluid, with idealized faces and harmonious anatomies, clearly inspired by classical and academic sculpture. The gilding, applied by hand, emphasizes the folds of the garments and provides a significant decorative effect.

At the bottom of both figures, there is the 'N' crowned Ginori mark, in blue under-glaze, attributable to the Capodimonte Ginori production of the 20th century.

Wonderful gilding in pure gold
