Description from the seller
**Discosauriscus** is an extinct genus of amphibians from the Permian period, approximately 298 million years ago. One notable species, *Discosauriscus austriacus*, was discovered in the Boskovice Furrow near Letovice, Czech Republic. The preparation of these fossilized amphibians is a complex process involving the use of acid and impregnation agents, as a significant amount of these materials is required for each specimen. The result is beautifully detailed and well-preserved fossils of these long-extinct species. Most fossils are typically found as carbonized bone remains, but individuals from this location are remarkable for their exceptional preservation and 3D structure of bones and teeth. Due to the complexity of the preparation and preservation process, the cost of these specimens is relatively high.
