Alpine Climbers
Mickey Mouse Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936)
This incredibly rare original production drawing from Alpine Climbers (1936) captures Mickey Mouse in an early moment of adventure, cheerfully yodeling as he scales a treacherous mountain in the Swiss Alps alongside Donald Duck and Pluto. Seen in the opening scene near the 0:22 timestamp, these vintage animation drawings showcase Mickey's wide smile and carefree energy as he ascends the perilous mountainside. Directed by David Hand, the short featured animation by Disney stalwarts Norman Ferguson and Grim Natwick, bringing Mickey's movements to life with fluidity and charm. Walt Disney himself provided Mickey's voice, adding to the short's classic appeal.
llustrated in graphite over color pencil on 12-field, 5-peghole animation paper. The artwork exhibits age-related toning, edge and handling wear, including border tears, small stains, and missing bottom right corner. In Fair condition overall, this is still a wonderful original animation drawing-a rare and exciting find for Mickey Mouse collectors!
