A metamorphic chair from France, dating to 1850–1900, in gilt wood with carving, measuring about 63 cm wide by 65 cm deep and 65 cm high, in good used condition with small signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
Gilded and carved wooden armchair/kneeler belonging to the Louis Philippe period of the second half of the nineteenth century.
The backrest has a curved shape and is connected to the seat via armrests that share the same curvature, embellished with a leaf motif carving.
Between the feet and the backrest, there is a bolt system that allows you to recline the backrest, turning it into a kneeling chair.
Condition: Good condition.
Origin: France 19th century.
Chair dimensions: 63x67 H65.
