Swiss brand watch, nickel plated, with black dial, JAEGER LeCOULTRE, ATMOS, model 528-8, from 1978. The watch looks and works very well. In the late 1930s, Atmos watches were always made in the same factory in the Jura Mountains, Switzerland, by extremely skilled watchmakers. The Atmos watch is powered by perpetual motion - it does not need to be wound manually. It gets its energy from changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure in the environment and can operate for decades without human intervention. For two days of operation, a temperature variation of just one degree between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius or a pressure variation of 3 mmHg is sufficient. The operating arch is continuously loaded, being almost always at the maximum load limit. It will be properly packed, in 2 boxes (box in box) for shipping.
