Haviland services of this size are now almost no longer on the market; the combination of flowing shapes, botanical decoration, and completeness makes it a lot of the highest level.
Haviland is historically one of the 3–4 most important manufactures in Limoges: very high-quality paste, bright enamels, very fine transfer decorations often hand-finished, aristocratic production from the mid-1800s to the 1900s.
It is considered more elegant and more 'French' than other manufacturers, and for this reason, it is highly loved by American and North European collectors.
The wavy shapes, the very fine pasta, and the botanical decoration 'Vigne Verte' place it on the same level as the best German, Hungarian, and Italian productions of the 20th century, making it a premium-tier service for collectors and important tables.
