AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Large Italian majolica wall plate from Northern Italy, handcrafted and hand-painted.
The plate shows in the mirror a Renaissance-inspired profile bust, surrounded by a stylized leaf and vine motif in classic green, blue, and brown tones.
The execution exhibits typical features of historic Italian majolica: a naturally occurring Craquelé glaze, flowing oxide colors, and fine, partly incised lines in the decoration. The glaze and craftsmanship clearly indicate a creation from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The back features a pronounced stand ring as well as an engraved signature or workshop mark, whose lettering cannot be clearly identified. Such engraved signatures are known to be found in workshops from the Faenza region around 1900. Burn and resting marks from the manufacturing process are visible and emphasize the handcrafted and authentic character of the object.
