Nightstand (2) - Walnut, Glass, Brass, Burr walnut

Italian Chippendale bed side tables/nightstands, 1940s/1950s.

Fine matched pair of antique bedside cabinets, crafted in richly figured burr walnut veneer and solid wood. Each cabinet features an elegant shaped form with a single cupboard door, raised on carved cabriole legs with decorative apron detailing. The tops are fitted with pale green glass panels with subtle etched border decoration, adding both practicality and period charm.
They were made with high skills of craftsmanship.
They are in great size and weight, so, they are very stable.
It is well-reserved with all orignial parts. The condition is great for its age, despite of some scratches/minor defects of age and use (seen on the photos).
They have been refreshed only with wax with its natural splendid patina after years.
