This statue of the Madonna and Child is made of white porcelain with richly gilded details. Mary stands on a spherical base with a star motif and the monogram AVM (Ave Virgo Maria). Her star-adorned cloak evokes the woman clothed with the sun from the Apocalypse. The ornate rocaille base with gilded scrollwork is typical of the continuation of the Brussels tradition in the first half of the 20th century.

Height 34 cm, in good condition with slight wear to the gilding.
