Description from the seller
Rhythm Alarm Clock – Model 51102
Japan, late 1960s – early 1970s
This original Rhythm alarm clock, model 51102, is a fine example of late-1960s / early-1970s Japanese Space Age design.
The clock features a white plastic case with clean, sculptural lines and a distinctive brown sunburst dial, enriched by applied hour markers and luminous details. The overall aesthetic is elegant yet clearly Space Age, fully characteristic of Rhythm’s production from this period.
The front crystal is real glass (not plastic), and the clock still retains its original factory label — a true rarity after almost half a century and a strong indicator of authenticity and careful preservation.
Condition:
The clock is in very good vintage condition, with signs of age consistent with its era. The photos are an integral part of the description.
Functionality:
The clock has been tested and is fully functional:
– Keeps time accurately
– Alarm works correctly and sounds strong and clear
– Excellent original luminous hands and markers, still very effective
Movement:
Original Japanese mechanical alarm movement, robust and reliable, typical of Rhythm clocks from this era.
Dimensions:
– Height: approx. 13 cm
– Width: approx. 14 cm
– Depth: approx. 7 cm
