Roman Bronze Votive Figure of Hercules, circa 1st–3rd century AD. A charming and characterful bronze depiction of the hero Hercules, standing 74mm tall (113mm including mount). The figure displays the classic attributes of the demigod, shown holding the club and draped lionskin, with a beautiful aged patina throughout. Though the right foot is missing, the piece retains strong presence and fine ancient detail. Elegantly presented on a polished black marble block for display.
Provenance: Ex D. Ruskin Collection.
