This imposing ornamental glass was carved from fossil-rich sedimentary marble, a natural stone formed over millions of years through the slow compaction of marine sediments. The polished surface reveals a striking mosaic of clearly visible fossil fragments: mollusk shells, ammonites, brachiopods, and other now-extinct marine organisms, silent witnesses to remote geological eras.
The shape, inspired by an antique chalice, is enhanced by a warm beige hue with veins and inclusions ranging from honey to ochre, to grayish and brown hues. The turned base lends stability and elegance, making it a decorative object with a strong aesthetic impact and historical value.
