This piece is both an attractive collector’s riding accessory and a tangible piece of Edwardian equestrian heritage — ideal for display, collection, or as a conversation piece with provenance.
A riding crop is a short whip used by equestrians to encourage or guide a horse while riding. It was an essential part of riding gear, particularly in the late Victorian and Edwardian era, and often made with fine materials and silver accents when owned by affluent riders.
The mounted silver collar would often bear ownership marks, initials, or full inscriptions — sometimes given as gifts or commemorating a year of service, event, or personal milestone.
