A beautiful and richly decorated antique purse frame crafted in solid 800 silver, bearing the German hallmark crescent moon and crown, in use from 1888 onward. This finely pierced and chased frame shows excellent craftsmanship characteristic of late-19th-century silver ateliers.

The frame is designed with a richly open-worked, fully sculpted decoration featuring putti/cherubs, flowers, scrolls, and romantic motifs. These figures are executed in deep relief, surrounded by detailed floral garlands and baskets—an aesthetic influenced by Rococo revival and Historicism, very popular in Germany at the end of the 19th century.

The original side hooks and suspension chain are preserved, and the purse once attached to this silver frame would have been made of fine fabric or leather, used by an elegant lady of the period.

Good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. The silver shows light patina on the inside, which is consistent with authentic late-19th-century silverwork. Hinges and closures are functioning.
