Set of seven rare Berber metal boxes from Kabylie, Algeria, dating to the mid-20th century (1920s–1950s), handcrafted in a silver alloy with filigree work, multicolour cloisonné enamel and glass cabochons, the largest box worn as a bracelet box and the smaller ones as containers for powders, kohl or amulets.

7 rare scatoline, including the largest one, which is a bracelet box, fascinating Berber objects.
North A fatigue (probable origin: Kabylie, Algeria or High Atlas, Morocco), dating between the 1920s and
1950, with a refined handcrafted filigree work, multicolored cloisonné enamels (blue, green, orange, red), and glass cabochons. The object is made of metal (probably silver alloy).
The cylindrical shape allows it to be used both as a bracelet (the larger one) and as small containers for powders, kohl, or amulets. This type of object was often worn by Berber women as protective jewelry or to store ritual objects. Berber boxes and jewelry are usually made of 925 silver and other metals, which is a type of sterling silver. This standard is frequently used in Berber jewelry, partly because historically, gold is considered a negative metal in their culture.
The measurements for the smallest are between 3 cm in height and 4 cm in width. The largest, which is 6 cm high, has a diameter of 6 cm.
Shipping with careful packaging. For more information, see the photo.
