Description from the seller

Photo as dokumentary: Three photomontages by Ernst Eugéne Appert. Three scenes, in the form of three cabinet card photos, from 1871.

All three photomontages created by E. Appert.

* The photograph is an albumen silver print from a glass negative.
* Although the image depicts a real event, it is actually a reconstruction, in which Appert used actors in his studio.
