Description from the seller

Cleoniceras are ammonites that lived during the Albian, between 113 and 100 million years ago.
Here we have a stunning Cleoniceras ammonite, sectioned to reveal beautiful fossilized chambers in various colors, ranging from shades of yellow, orange, to brown.
The outer part of the shell, on the other hand, features iridescence caused by mother-of-pearl, creating beautiful plays of color.
A fascinating specimen that could become a very interesting object of study, as well as a beautiful piece of decor or a valuable addition to your collection.

Single Ammonite size: approximately 280×240×30 mm.
Total weight: 4050 g
Origin: Madagascar
Period: Jurassic

Note: the supports are not included in the auction. They were used solely to take the photographs.

Seller's Story

The Mineral Art Gallery offers minerals, fossils, shells and natural elements. Born in Italy in 2017, today she collaborates with international galleries and collectors, she is a direct importer of large minerals and naturalistic collectible elements; deals with the processing to insert them inside the living space. A section of the gallery was dedicated to the Wunderkammer, "chamber of wonders or cabinet of curiosities" in which Mirabilia elements are presented: naturalia and italiania, a union between "the present is the past". All lots are shipped via DHL Express and Fercam couriers, with insured parcel and tracking.
