Rare large fragment of a Roman Terra Sigillata bowl showing a lion jumping from a higher platform attacking a gladiator who is defending himself with a spear. Above and besides the Lion we see a palm branch, the sign of Victory. Running dog below the lion, band of ovula decorations above the scene.
Size: ± 121 x 76 mm
Condition: Bowl fragment with clear depictions in profile. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
