Beautiful antique armchair in French Louis XV style (rococo), with a richly gilded wooden frame featuring detailed woodcarving such as shell and floral motifs.
The comfortable seat and backrest are upholstered with green velvet (velour), featuring classic nailhead trim and a loose seat cushion.
Dimensions
Height 98 cm, width 60 cm, depth 57 cm, seat height 50 cm (drops to 43 cm).
Traditional construction with nailed singles at the bottom and cabriole legs for elegance and stability.
Condition and recovery
Good vintage condition with authentic patina on the gilding and natural wear on the velvet (small tears and frays, repairable). The frame is stable, with no cracks; ideal for restoration or use as is. Estimated age: approximately 80-150 years (19th/20th-century reproduction).
