Two vintage life-sized handmade Wayne Kleski dolls from Katherine's Collection, produced in the 1990s in the USA from hard material and sold without packaging, including a 1.85 m mermaid Maristela in good, dusty condition with a broken crown and one missing finger and a second life-sized doll about 1.65 m tall and 40 cm wide with a large crack in its head, both with arms and legs stuffed with foam beads.
Description from the seller
Two vintage life-size dolls, handmade, by Wayne Kleski. Wayne Kleski is a renowned American artist and doll designer, best known as the founder and chief designer of Katherine's Collection. The 'retired' dolls are no longer in production.
1. Retired Mermaid Maristela Doll. Imposing large mermaid, 1.85 meters tall, with a long tail and large bosom, decorated with beads. In good condition, somewhat dusty. Her crown is broken but could still be glued. Missing one finger. No label found, but 100% authentic.
A wide-smiling doll. I couldn't find her anywhere on the internet, but she reminds me of Willeke van Ammelrooy. The doll measures 1.65 meters tall and approximately 40 cm wide. Unfortunately, there is a large crack in her head that would need to be repaired. Otherwise, she is in very good condition, only a bit dusty. With label 'Wayne' (on the back of the pants).
The fabric of both dolls is still sturdy, with little to no discoloration, no moth holes, or other defects.
The arms and legs of the dolls are filled with isomo balls.
They have a nice place in a theater, café, museum, or at your home.
